Eve Segel (She/Her)

MS in Energy and Sustainability, Northwestern University

Bio

Eve was born outside of Boston and moved to Chicago shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tulane University. After working in Development for three years, Eve returned to school for a Master’s degree in Energy and Sustainability from Northwestern. During this time, Eve explored the intersection of food/agriculture and sustainability in multiple ways—through coursework, self-study, and a 6-month project with a local food recycling company.

Upon moving to Chicago, Eve quickly identified Green City Market as an organization that she wanted to support. She is an avid market goer, has been a monthly GCM donor for over three years, and is thrilled to now be joining the Associate Board. She continues to be amazed by the many ways in which GCM impacts the local community, from supporting farmers to educating our youth to maximizing SNAP/Link benefits for food insecure folks.

In her free time, Eve enjoys exploring local restaurants, biking down Lake Shore Drive, reading, and spending quality time with friends (preferably at GCM)!
