Rooted in the relationships between farmers and chefs, Chef BBQ showcases dishes and beverages crafted with ingredients sourced directly from Green City Market's local, sustainable farmers. From peak-season produce to globally inspired cuisine, guests can enjoy a wide variety of offerings, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Every ticket purchased supports Green City Market's year-round work to strengthen local food systems, support sustainable farmers, educate our community, and expand access to locally grown food. Thursday, September 10, 2026 Chef BBQ takes place rain or shine. Refunds will not be provided for any reason. |

VIP Admission4:00 PM–8:00 PM VIP guests enjoy early admission beginning at 4:00 PM, one hour before General Admission, providing the opportunity to meet Chicago's top chefs and farmers, enjoy shorter lines, and begin their tasting experience before the event reaches full capacity. The VIP Area features premium seating, exclusive beverage activations, specialty cocktails and pours not available in General Admission, dedicated VIP restrooms, and enhanced hospitality throughout the evening. VIP seating is arranged in a communal setting designed to encourage conversation and connection. Guests seeking a dedicated space for their group may reserve a VIP Table or Private VIP Cabana. VIP CabanasTake on Chef BBQ in style with a VIP cabana for your group, including luxurious lounge seating under a shaded tent. You'll enjoy access to a bespoke VIP section and gain entry to the event one hour early (5:30 p.m.) for coveted face time with Chicago's top chefs and an opportunity to begin your tasting experience before General Admission guests arrive. The VIP section includes exclusive VIP beverage activations and trays for carrying unlimited small plates and beverages back to your table. Stay tuned for 2026 VIP Cabana offerings and pricing. VOLUNTEER
Volunteers help bring Chef BBQ to life each year, supporting event set up and tear down, managing entrances and exits, helping with guest relations, and selling raffle tickets.
The sweetest part? Volunteers get to attend Chef BBQ for free (!) after the successful completion of their shifts. Chef BBQ volunteer shifts fill up fast, and priority consideration will be given to folks who have volunteered with Green City Market before.
