Culinary Connections

Green City Market invites chefs, bartenders, pastry chefs, sous chefs, culinary students, nutritionists, and more to conduct a free food demonstration and tasting at our Lincoln Park market.

These demonstrations are vital to the market as they deepen support for our farmers by fostering relationships between culinarians, customers and farmers, as well as provide educational opportunities for our community members to understand what we eat, where it comes from, and why it matters.

Culinary Demonstrations

What We Ask

Conduct 30-minute culinary demonstration followed by a 15-30 minute Q&A period
Prepare approximately 25 tasting portions to sample
Provide written recipe at least 5 days before the demo to aid in promotions
Purchase main ingredients from Green City Market. You may supplement with cooking oils, seasonings, etc.
Bring knives, pans, and any other equipment or personnel you need to complete your demonstration. See below for equipment provided by Green City Market.

What We Provide

Reserved, free parking for one vehicle at GCM Lincoln Park Chef Parking
$250 stipend*
A tented demonstration area with two tables, two propane burners, one large cutting board and plates/bowls/utensils for sampling
Digital media mentions across Green City Market’s platform of 100,000+ community members
