avec, a Mediterranean and Midwestern influenced shared plates restaurant in the West Loop, has remained one of Chicago’s favorites for over 17 years and has recently opened a larger location in River North. Wine remains at avec’s core, and the menus feature ingredients from valued local purveyors for weekend brunch and dinner service Tuesday through Sunday. The wine list, while extensive, remains moderately priced and draws primarily from boutique vineyards in Southwestern Europe.
