Junior Board Mission
The Junior Board's mission is to complement Green City Market’s mission by developing education, outreach and fundraising programs that engage young professionals in the local agriculture and culinary community.
The Junior Board supports a variety of Green City Market initiatives. Here are a few of our flagship programs:
- “A (Mostly) Veggie Affair” -- our annual fall fundraising event that celebrates local, sustainable, veggie-centric dishes with produce from our vendors prepared by the city’s best chefs
- Big Table Dinners - farm-to-table family style dinners hosted in partnership with the Chicago Park District, designed to connect the local community with local growers and sustainable agriculture advocates
- At market volunteering and fundraising such as chestnut roasting and elote grilling donation stations
- … and much more!
