Paula Haney’s pies are individually handmade with seasonal ingredients purchased from Green City Market. Varieties span the season from rhubarb to granny smith apples. Scones, muffins, turnovers and savory hand pies are also on the menu.
Paula has been making pies since she was a little girl. After years working as a fine dining pastry chef, she returned to her first pastry love and started the Hoosier Mama Pie Company in 2005. When not selling at Green City Market, she splits her time between the tiny original Hoosier Mama Pie Shop at 1618-1/2 W Chicago Ave in Chicago and the new Pie & Coffee café at 749 N Chicago Ave in Evanston. In 2013, she published her first cookbook, The Hoosier Mama Book of Pie.
