Wednesday Morning Yoga with Yoga Six

New to the 2016 outdoor season, Yoga Six will be hosting a series of free Wednesday morning yoga classes at Green City Market. From 7:30am - 8:15am enjoy an outdoor yoga class for all levels with a focus on calming the mind, building strength and increasing flexibility. Get your shopping and morning workout done all in one stop! Bring your own mats.

Instructor Profiles: 

Tori Washington

Tori is the Manager of the Lincoln Park location of YogaSixYoga has been the foundation for a remarkable journey for Tori, one of self-love, deep healing and ultimately, happiness within.  After years of personal practice, Tori realized this journey was meant to be shared and made it her mission to guide others in their own personal transformations.  In 2011 she traveled to Arizona and earned her 200-Hour Certification.  Four years later, she became a Master Reiki Practitioner. In her classes, you can expect to be met where you are with an open invitation to thrive fully.  Her teaching style is supportive as she encourages you to reconnect with your own power, unlocking balance in your body and your life.  Tori is deeply rooted in nature and loves exploring, traveling and dancing to live music.

Nicole Belica

Exercise and fitness have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember; my love for physical activity and fitness were instilled in me at a young age.  After many years of a variety of fitness routines, I found my true passion through yoga.  Yoga allowed me to extend fitness beyond the physical element, allowing me to integrate the body, mind and spirit.  Most of my studies were completed in Southeast Asia. Upon returning to America, I began pairing myyoga practice with resistance training.  I then started realizing the importance of nutrition not only as fuel for my fitness regime, but also the missing component of my overall well-being. Through yoga, resistance training and nutrition, I have been able to incorporate strength, flexibility and full body functional movements, ultimately achieving overall wellness and balance within the fitness realm.

Drea Cowel

Drea, a Colorado native, discovered yoga in 2007. In 2011, she completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training certification in Denver, CO; she traveled to India to study with Danny Arguetty and completed her 500 hour Y.A.-T.T. certification in 2015. In the summer of 2015, Drea began a meditation teacher training at Kripalu yoga center in Massachusetts, she looks forward to becoming a meditation coach. Yoga has brought her into a world full of discovery, growth, movement, courage and healing; a world full of transformations with never ending possibilities. Drea is passionate about cultivating her seat both as a student and instructor. With the foundations of yoga, she has truly created a life full of vitality and wishes to share the beauty of yoga with her students.

Kristin Osborn

Kristin "aka KO" is dedicated to sharing the practice of yoga as far and wide as possible! She believes in the healing, humbling, and the transformational possibilities a consistent yoga practice can bring. Her teaching style is hatha based with a strong focus on alignment and blend of the best practices of the different styles of yoga she has studied and taught. Be prepared to smile and make space with a lighthearted approach and sense of humor. Teaching full time, she enjoys watching her students grow, awaken, and open areas of congestion in body and mind to live in their brightest light! If she is not on a yoga mat she is out on lake Michigan running the SUP yoga program at Chicago SUP. Get outside and breathe!
