Tatum Payne

Account Manager, Facebook

Tatum has always been fascinated with the world of food and the community it fosters. After graduating from University of Michigan, she moved to New York City where she worked in finance and spent her weekends searching for the best bakery. After three years she was drawn back to the Midwest, getting a little bit closer to her home state of Minnesota. Chicago has given her the opportunity to lean into her love for cooking, growing and learning all things food and sustainability. Outside of food, Tatum spends her free time working out, catching up with close friends and exploring this great city. Tatum has volunteered at Green City Market since she moved to Chicago in 2019 and joined the Associates Board in 2020.

What inspired you to get involved with Green City Market?
The community. Everyone involved from the volunteers, employees, vendors and market goers are all amazing.

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever purchased from GCM?
I am a lover of all winter squashes and the Kobocha Squash is specifically delicious!

What’s your favorite GCM event?
A (Mostly) Veggie Affair!
