Jenny is a storyteller. Over the last 8 years, she has helped create the "voice" for several Chicago tech companies ensuring that their messages are effectively communicated and understood. She has taken this passion for words to inspire climate action among her peers. Whether she's posting to her Instagram ways to reduce her carbon footprint or demonstrating how to compost, Jenny is devoted to protecting Mother Earth so that everyone can have a place to play. She wholeheartedly believes that single actions by a coalition of individuals can make a lasting impact.
What inspired you to get involved with Green City Market?
It doesn't matter if the conversation is about public health and safety or sustainability efforts, food touches so many of the issues facing our city today. Chicago is my home; therefore, getting involved with GCM was the best thing I could do to make an impact on the issues affecting my community.
What's the most delicious thing you've ever purchased from GCM?
Wanna know what happens with you mix cheese with garlic? A flavor explosion you can't live without. River Valley Ranch's Five Cheese Garlic Spread is a market must for me and tastes delicious on literally everything (scrambled eggs, sandwiches, crackers). Plus it makes for an excellent gift too!
What’s your favorite aspect of the Junior Board?
The best part of the Junior Board is watching each member apply their unique talents and skills to support the needs of GCM. Our individual perspectives and backgrounds allow us to build solutions that are not only effective and impactful, but inclusive too.
