Bennett originally hails from New Jersey, but has had pit stops in London, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. During high school, he was on the several town committees for environmental affairs and recycling. After high school, he attended the University of Michigan and graduated with degrees in Economics and Political Science. During his time in Ann Arbor, he was helped with several campus recycling initiatives and was part of a sustainable start up called MIMO. After college, he joined Accenture as a Management Consultant, advising utility clients on how to adapt their business models to accommodate changing energy supply and demands. He is an avid foodie who loves exploring the Chicago restaurant scene whenever he is home.

What inspired you to get involved with Green City Market?

A passion for sustainability, inner city nutrition, food, and the future of food. Additionally, food is something everyone can enjoy and unites us all.

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever purchased from the GCM?

I bought some incredible duck eggs from Finn's Ranch last winter...working my way up to the goose eggs.

What’s your favorite aspect of the Junior Board?

Being connected with a group that shares similar passions and has the collective ability to implement changes in our community.
