Betsy  Hoover

Founding Partner, 270 Strategies
Market Site Committee, Chicago Green City Market

Betsy always had a passion for urban agriculture and access to local, healthy food. This started out in High School, when she started a small urban garden in Milwaukee with Growing Power. Since then, Betsy has been involved in political and civic engagement. She spent 6 years working directly for the Obama campaign and organization from 2007 to 2013. Most recently, she served as the Director of Online Organizing in his re-election campaign. In 2013, she started a consulting firm called 270 Strategies with other Obama alumni. She runs their digital and technology services. The firm has worked with over 200 campaigns, non-profits, and companies to do big things and change the world. Outside of work, Betsy is a runner, soccer player, skier, and biker. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves to travel. She lives in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
