The Nomad Food Company

Bio

The Nomad Food Company LLC, founded in 2013, came about as a result of years of restaurant industry experience, a passion for great food, and a desire to bring a new and unique culinary experience to the greater Chicagoland area. Jared Batson, a 'Nomad' in his own right, has cooked and traveled across the country and worldwide. Having worked under many inspirational and accomplished chefs in Chicago, California, and the esteemed Ballymaloe School in Ireland, Jared developed a passion to support local sustainable agriculture and use the finest seasonal ingredients whenever possible. The Nomad Food Company will bring this mindset to Green City with items cooked fresh directly out of our specialty wandering wood fired oven. The market menu will include seasonally inspired brick-oven pizzas made to order, wood fired sandwiches, and much more to showcase all that Green City’s farmers have to offer! ...Be sure to also ask about how you can host your next private party with ‘The Nomad’!
