Chef Curren and his business partner Dan Marunowski opened Blue 13 in the River North neighborhood with the idea of running a fine dining establishment free of pretense or self-importance. At Blue 13, Curren acts as Partner / Head Chef and his style, that of twisting traditional American cuisine by using French, Italian and Asian influences, is showcased. In January 2011, Curren was named Executive Chef at Elate Restaurant at The Hotel Felix and splits his time running the kitchens at both Blue 13 and Elate.
