Laurell Sims is the Production and Marketing Manager for Growing Power's Chicago Projects Office. Laurell came to Growing Power after serving as the Director of ReVision House Urban Farm, a farm that employed young, homeless mothers in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Laurell oversees Growing Power's seven urban farms in Chicago, totalling 12-acres of sustainably grown produce cultivated within the city limits. Additionally, as the former Education Coordinator at Growing Power, she has developed programming for over 500 high-school aged teens in its job-training program and over 200 children, aged four to fourteen, participating in activities at the Chicago Lights Urban Farm. Laurell has served as a vendor at Green City Market for Growing Power for the last six-years.
