Nancy Parng

Champagne Specialist, Moët Hennessy
Nancy’s love of food and cooking led her back the hospitality industry early on in her professional career. Although she had aspirations to cook, she worked front of house as a Captain in Avenues at the Peninsula Hotel. This is where she met her husband, who would leave any extra wagyu beef at the service station for her. The Peninsula is also where Nancy fell in love with Champagne; she greeted every table with a Champagne cart. Her desire to learn more landed her a spot with the knowledgeable team at Pops for Champagne. As happy as she was, a fortuitous meeting presented the opportunity to be Champagne Specialist for Moët Hennessy. Education and empowering service staff to share their passion is one the most enjoyable aspects of her job.
What inspired you to get involved with Green City Market?
I love gardening! As an avid home cook, I enjoy keeping a vegetable garden to have fresh ingredients at the ready. I’m looking forward to my 6th growing season and experimenting with new varieties. GCM will be a wonderful combination of my personal hobbies and professional experience.
What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever purchased from the GCM?
I absolutely love peaches and Klug Farms has some delectable peaches.
What’s your favorite Jr. Board event?
A (Mostly) Veggie Affair. I eat everything but I love that vegetables get a chance to be the star of the show.
